Leitrim’s Blueway 10K Training Programme

The Blueway 10K Training Programme, this initiative, delivered by Canoeing Ireland, the Canoe Association of Northern Ireland (CANI) & Waterways Ireland is a new canoeing and paddlesports programme. The 30^th May marks the start of the Blueway 10K training programme, for a period of twelve weeks activity providers and canoe clubs in your area will be running Blueway 10K training sessions for three hours per week.

 “The Blueway 10K is a new approach to fitness, this new canoeing and paddlesports programme, run in partnership with Canoeing Ireland, the Canoe Association of Northern Ireland (CANI) & Waterways Ireland is sure to be a great way to get fit, have fun and enjoy the Waterways of Ireland.

The 30^th May marks the start of the Blueway 10K training programme, for a period of twelve weeks activity providers and canoe clubs in your area will be running Blueway 10K training sessions for three hours per week (i.e. 36 sessions), each provider has been briefed and each participant is sure to gain from the health and physical benefits that the Blueway 10K training programme offers, each week we will be releasing a training video highlighting the training outcomes and fitness benefits of the Blueway 10K.

This twleve week period will allow participants to get out on the water, have fun, get fit and enjoy this new approach to fitness.

Taster Sessions 14^th – 21^st May

For those who might be a bit anxious around this new experience, the activity providers and canoe clubs in your area will be hosting taster sessions as part of the Blueway 10K National Open Day on Saturday 14^th May, please see a list of taster days which are taking place in your area next Saturday the 14^th May.
