DRUMSNA BOXING CLUB CLAIMS CONNAUGHT TITLE

Drumsna girl Caoimhe Moran joined her club mate and neighbour, Joe mc Keon, when she became the Girl 5, 75kg Connaught Champion at last weekends female Connaught championships in Castlerea. Caoimhe who has been a member of Drumsna BC for the last 3 years went one step further this year to become champion.
At last years connaught final caoimhe lost out to a hugely experienced tobair peadar bc Galway boxer. And she vowed she would return this year to take the title. After a hard year of committed and unwavering training Caoimhe did just that.
She now prepares for the All Ireland championships for which she weighs in in Sunday 28th April.
This is a hugely important week in the history of Drumsna Bc. Joe McKeon starts his All Ireland campaign on Tuesday , senior club member Sibheal Greene heads to Birmingham representing her club and country at the Burmingham university Box Cup and Caoimhe weighs in for the girls All Irelands
All 3 boxers will give a taste of their boxing expertise at the upcoming end of year tournament to be held on Sunday May 5th in St Mary’s hall Carrick on shannon.
