The aim of National Play Day is to promote play opportunities for children all across the country. Each year, the Department of Children and Youth Affairs works in collaboration with Local Authorities to implement a programme of activity to support National Play Day.
Leitrim Sports Partnership and Leitrim County Childcare Committee delivered a family fun day on Sunday July 5th in Leitrim Village Community Field. Families from all over Leitrim came to take part in a variety of activities including cycling, dance and multi sports games. Although the weather tried to dampen our spirits at the start of the event it cleared off and we enjoyed all the outdoor activities while adhering to the government guidelines around Covid 19. We would like to thank all the families who got involved and look forward to providing more physical activity opportunities again soon.
