Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme 2021

The Department of Rural & Community Development have announced the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme for 2021. The focus of the scheme will be to support outdoor recreational infrastructure in countryside areas across Ireland. The 2021 scheme emphasises the opportunity for recreational amenities located near rivers, lakes and beaches.  The 2021 scheme also seeks to support recreational infrastructure that provides an inclusive approach for communities to deliver outlets that support a diverse range of users, including people with disabilities and older adults.

Scheme Outline 

Applications are now invited under the following measures:

Measure 1: Small Scale Repair/Development/Promotion and Marketing

Maximum grant aid available up to €20,000. Applications under Measure 1 should be submitted to Leitrim County Council by 4pm on Wednesday 2^nd June 2021

Measure 2: Medium Scale Repair/Upgrade and New Trail/Amenity Development

Maximum grant aid available up to €200,000. Applications for Measure 2 should be submitted to Leitrim County Council by 4pm on Wednesday 16^th June 2021

Measure 3: Large Scale Repair/Upgrade and New Strategic Trail/Amenity Development 

 Maximum grant aid available up to €500,000. Applications for Measure 3 should be submitted to Leitrim County Council by 4pm on Wednesday 16^th June 2021
