This course is ideal for coaches and volunteers who deal with sports injuries or for those who offer immediate emergency care at sporting / training events. The aim is to provide relevant training to personnel to protect and treat those who become injured or unwell during training events or competition.
The course covers most of the situations which can arise at the scene of an accident or emergency. It will cover: vital signs, accident procedure, injury management, airway management, common medical emergencies-fainting, diabetic emergencies, burns, haemorrhage control, sprains and strains, and spinal injuries etc. The course cost's €20 per person. The course will take place in Carrick on Shannon on Saturday 18th September from 9.30am-4pm.
