Leitrim Sports Partnership, supported by Sport Ireland, held a third round of covid funding for sports clubs, groups and indoor Community facilities. Leitrim Sports Partnership are delighted to announce that €60,000 has been allocated to the following applicants, Aughavas Community Centre, Cloone Community Centre, Mayflower Community Centre, Eslin Community Centre, Fenagh Visitor Centre, Gorvagh Community Centre, Kinlough Community Centre, Leitrim West Cavan Down Syndrome Branch, Mohill Community Sports Hub, Mohill Family Support Centre, Ballinamore Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others, Solar Orienteering Club, Sean McDermott Boxing club, Carrigallen Community Hall Committee, Ballinamore Boccia Club, Bee Park Sports Hub, Carrick Cougars Basketball Club, Carrick Fins Swimming Club, Drumreilly GAA club, DSI Leitrim, Fenagh GAA Club, Fenagh Ladies Gaelic Football Club, Gortletteragh GAA Minor Club, Keeldra Gaels Ladies Gaelic Football Club, Lough Key Triathalon Club, Lough Rynn Kayak Club, Manorhamilton Tennis Club, Mohill GAA club, Mohill Ladies Gaelic Football Club, Mohill Park Sport Leisure Committee, North West Canoe Club, Annaduff Ladies Gaelic Football Club, Ballinamore Athletic Club, Ballinamore Blazers Basketball Club, Carrick Rowing Club, Carrigallen GAA Club, Carrigallen Trout Angling club, Drumsna Boxing Club, Eslin GAA club, Kiltubrid GAA Club, Melvin Gaels GAA Club, Trident Swimming Club, Carrick on Shannon Tennis Club, Ballinamore Area Community Council, Ballagh Centre, Rossinver.
All clubs will receive correspondence from Leitrim Sports Partnership in respect of their individual grants over the coming days.
The COVID-19 Club Small Grant Scheme is part of a series of COVID-19 related funding schemes from Sport Ireland, following the announcement of €70 million of funding by the Government to support the sports sector in response to the Covid-19 crisis.
Leitrim Sports Partnership Sports Coordinator, Declan Boyle, said that he was delighted to announce this funding and support the sporting communities, who have had a difficult few years’ during the Covid pandemic and this funding will provide financial assistance and welcomed support with the reopening of sports clubs, groups, and facilities in Leitrim.
